Broadcom has released VMware Private AI Cloud, which offers diverse hardware, model, and accelerator choices, letting enterprises run heterogeneous clusters cost-effectively. “It features token monitoring, multi-tenant model sharing, enhanced GPU/vGPU tracking, and an AI metrics observability dashboard,” the company says.

A flurry of announcements from the company also highlights the VMware AI Factory, “the software-defined foundation of VMware Private AI Cloud,” which helps streamline deployment of  AI-ready infrastructure and secure AI workloads:

  • Metal to model faster: VMware AI Factory helps organizations achieve faster time to first model deployment and better manage AI tokenomics.
  • Validated AI Models enable Model as a Service: VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) customers can run more than 150 open source and commercial models.

According to the company, VCF is aligned to NIST CSF 2.0 and “delivers continuous compliance and zero-trust protection.” New security updates and features include:

  • VMware vDefend now includes Agentic Zero Trust with distributed virtual patching via AI-generated IDPS signatures.
  • VMware Avi Load Balancer offers Agentic Threat Defense to restrict unauthorized tool access and protect against sensitive data exfiltration.
  • The newly announced TrueSource helps secure open source supply chains.
  • And the new AgentMinder provides a central control plane to govern AI agents.
